This project is a rethinking of our relationship with nature and the construction of a new design system.
We want to explore how our design can be more harmoniously integrated with the environment and how to make a connection between nature and our daily lives. We came up with the idea of collecting and regenerating everyday food waste (coconut peel, avocado peel) into environmentally friendly bioplastics.
Coconut
Coconuts are a natural product that can be easily cultivated in tropical regions. Its fruit is edible and water is drinkable.
On the other hand, the hard shell is used for a scrubber, but the amount wasted is quite large compared to demand.
As a result, 250 million tons of coconut shells are thrown away every year, which is considered the main cause of global warming and land environmental pollution.

Avocado
Avocados are a superfood gaining popularity and their consumption is rapidly increasing.
However, avocados use excessive water during the cultivation process and emit serious carbon dioxide.
In addition, the seeds and peels of avocados are hard and tough, which they are not easily broken down, so they are classified as general garbage.
